Philosophy

Chris Anderson’s tennis philosophy is to support and nurture the development of each and every student to his or her fullest potential both as an athlete and as an individual. His tennis program stresses strong core values where beginner adult and junior will “catch the bug”. Here at Great Hills Country Club in Northwest Austin, Texas, we are not the biggest tennis program in Austin but our track record shows we can take adult and junior tennis players from day one beginner to the highest levels of the game.

Core Values

Discipline,

Commitment,

Character,

Sportsmanship,

High Academic Standards.

Besides teaching the classic all courts strokes and strategies of the game, our program stresses sportsmanship and high academic standards. The game of tennis teaches character, commitment, and discipline. To be successful in our program a player needs to play hard, win or lose with dignity. In order to achieve success a player needs to make 100% commitment to the game. This takes discipline.
